Manokamna Foundation

Manokamna Foundation is an organization founded in August 2020, with a view to help the still suffering addict transition from active addiction to a drug-free productive life.

Drug addiction is a global reality that has spread it's tentacles even in India. Presently it is estimated that there are more than 10 crore individuals who have used or are still using intoxicants in the country. Cannabis, heroin, and pharmaceutical drugs are the most frequently drugs used and abused in India. Cannabis products, often called charas, bhang, or ganja, are abused throughout the country.

A staggering 1.58 crore children and youth between the age of 10 – 17 years are addicted to substances as per a Government report presented in December 2022. So addiction is rampant in the metropolis of Mumbai and spreading rapidly. The relapse rate of people who have been in treatment facilities is very high with almost 80% returning to active addiction after treatment. This may be attributed to many factors. One of the primary reasons is the quality of treatment in prevailing facilities.

Manokamna Foundation's main purpose is to bring quality recovery to the patients in recovery in order that they may continue in their recovery post treatment and become productive members of society.
